Editorial policy

Every article, guide, and answer on US Dentist Directory is written by an identified person and reviewed by our editors before publication. This page explains what we accept, what we reject, and how attribution works.

Who can publish

We accept contributions only from identified people with a verifiable professional connection to the subject:

  • Licensed dental professionals: dentists, specialists, and hygienists
  • Team members of dental practices listed in our directory
  • Employees of dental suppliers, manufacturers, labs, and service companies listed in our supplier directory
  • Insurance and benefits professionals
  • Researchers and other industry experts approved by our editors

Contributors writing on behalf of a business must be actual team members or employees of that business. When a business profile is claimed on US Dentist Directory, its team members can author under the business name, and their articles link back to the business profile in the directory.

What we accept

  • Original, hand-written articles, guides, and Q&A answers
  • Content based on the author's own professional experience and training
  • Factual claims supported by named, checkable sources
  • Clear, useful writing for patients or for dental professionals

What we reject

  • AI-generated or AI-spun submissions of any kind
  • Content from anonymous or unverifiable authors
  • Articles whose only purpose is a backlink or keyword placement
  • Duplicate press releases, plagiarized, or previously spun content
  • Misleading product or treatment claims
  • Medical advice presented as diagnosis for an individual reader

We do not sell publication, and we do not exchange publication for links. Sponsored placements, where they exist, are clearly labeled as sponsored.

How review works

  1. The contributor creates an author profile: real name, role, credentials, business affiliation, and professional social profiles.
  2. Our editors verify the author's identity and business connection before anything publishes.
  3. Every submission is read by a human editor and is approved, returned with feedback, or rejected.
  4. Published pieces show the author's name, credentials, business, publication date, and any later updates.

Attribution

Every published piece is underwritten by its author. The byline links to the author's public profile, which shows their role, credentials, business affiliation, and professional social media profiles, and lists everything they have published here. When the author writes as a team member of a claimed business, the byline also links to that business profile in the directory.

Corrections

If you believe something we published is wrong, use our contact form. Corrections are reviewed by an editor, and material fixes update the article's visible "Updated" date.
