US Dentist Directory is committed to making this site usable for everyone, including people who rely on assistive technology. Our target is conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.

Conformance status

The site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA: most content and functionality meets the guidelines, with the known exceptions listed below. We review accessibility as part of every significant change.

What we do

• Semantic HTML landmarks and a "Skip to main content" link on every page.
• All core tasks (search, filters, menus, forms, save and compare) are operable by keyboard, with visible focus outlines.
• Form fields have labels, required fields are announced, and errors are described in text, not just color.
• Interactive maps carry text alternatives: pins have accessible names, results are also available as ordinary lists, and charts on owner dashboards include screen-reader summaries with keyboard navigation.
• Color contrast is checked against the WCAG AA ratios for text and controls.
• Animations are disabled when your system asks for reduced motion (prefers-reduced-motion).
• Layouts remain usable down to 320px-wide screens and at 200% browser zoom.

Known limitations

• Interactive maps are inherently visual. Every result shown on a map is also available in the accompanying list, which is the recommended path for screen-reader users.
• Listing photos come from public business profiles; their alternative text is generated from the business name and category and may be generic.
• A small number of third-party components (embedded video player, the human-verification widget on forms) are outside our control; we choose providers that publish their own accessibility support.

Compatibility

The site is built to work with current versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge, on desktop and mobile, and is tested with keyboard-only navigation. It does not require a mouse, precise gestures, or a specific screen orientation.
